We believe in treating everyone with respect, kindness, and empathy, regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, age, ability, or any other characteristic.
We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, hate speech, violence, and bullying. Such behaviors will not be tolerated at any Bemidji Pride event, online or offline, or in any communication related to our events or organization.
Harassment includes but is not limited to offensive verbal or written comments, unwanted physical contact, intimidation, stalking, and following someone without their consent.
Discrimination refers to any action or decision that unfairly treats someone because of their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, age, ability, or any other characteristic.
Hate speech includes any language that attacks or dehumanizes a person or group based on their identity, including but not limited to slurs, threats, and derogatory comments.
Violence includes physical, emotional, or psychological harm inflicted on someone, including but not limited to physical assault, verbal abuse, and cyberbullying.
Bullying refers to repeated and intentional behavior that causes harm to another person, including but not limited to name-calling, exclusion, and spreading rumors.
If you experience or witness any of these behaviors, please notify a Bemidji Pride staff member or volunteer immediately. We take all reports seriously and will take appropriate actions to address the situation.
By participating in Bemidji Pride events or activities, you agree to abide by this code of conduct and to treat everyone with respect and dignity. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone can be their authentic selves and celebrate our diversity.
